Berry Basket one day willow weaving

On this one day course Rachel Evans will guide you through the process of making a small berry basket with a plain pegged handle, suitable for gathering lightweight berries such as blackberries and raspberries or eggs /pegs.

You will learn how to make a round base, choose stakes and stake up, then learn a weave called waling to make the main body of the basket. You will use a simple trac border at the top to hold it all together and then add a handle and peg the handle to keep it secure.

You will be using home-grown, colourful willows from Rachel’s own willow bed and some Somerset willow.

Full payment for each course is required when booking (please do contact us if this is a problem).  You can change the date or cancel your place up to 30 days before the course starts but there is a £25 administration charge. The full course fee is non-refundable after this time, however we will always try to fill the cancelled place. If we can fill your place, we are of course happy to transfer you to another course.

Please note there are no dogs allowed on site and while we give you full safety briefings all courses are attended at your own risk.

All courses are for 18 years and over.
